Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident about purchasing ProductBrain. This policy lays out exactly when and how refunds work, including for per-use Stress Tests, monthly and annual subscriptions, system-caused failures, and disputed charges. If anything below is unclear, email support@product-brain.com before purchasing.

1. Per-use Stress Test runs

A one-off PRD Stress Test purchase (currently $29 during beta, $99 at standard pricing) is refundable in full within 24 hours of purchase, provided the analysis has not yet started. Once a run kicks off, the cost is non-refundable because the underlying LLM and signal-engine costs are incurred at that moment.

Overage runs purchased while on a subscription (currently $79/run flat) follow the same rule — refundable within 24 hours if unused, otherwise non-refundable.

2. Monthly subscriptions

You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time. Access continues through the end of your current billing period and is not pro-rated. We do not refund the unused portion of a billing month — the cancel-at-period-end model is the refund mechanism.

To cancel, use the "Cancel at period end" button on your Settings page, or email support@product-brain.com.

3. Annual subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are refundable in full within 14 days of initial purchase, provided zero runs have been consumed against the subscription. After either of those conditions changes, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the term — but you can cancel and continue using the service through the end of your paid year.

4. System-caused failures

If the analyzer crashes mid-run, or if the result is materially incomplete due to an outage on our side or in the SignalMax data layer we depend on, we will:

  • Refund a per-use purchase to the original payment method, or
  • Restore the consumed credit for a subscription run so your monthly cap is not affected.

You don't need to request these — we monitor failures and credit/refund proactively. If you believe a run should have qualified and we missed it, write to support@product-brain.com within 7 days of the run.

5. Disputed charges and chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us, your access to ProductBrain will be suspended immediately while the dispute is investigated. Filing a chargeback is not a substitute for cancellation — please email support@product-brain.com first and we will resolve refundable cases directly.

6. Founding pricing

If you refund a subscription that was purchased at founding pricing, the founding rate is forfeited. Subsequent subscriptions are billed at whatever the then-current public price is. This is to keep the founding-pricing benefit aligned with continuous, ongoing support.

7. How to request a refund

Email support@product-brain.com with the order or invoice details. We reply within 2 business days. Refunds, where granted, are processed to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers and noted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Purchases made under a prior version of this policy are governed by the version that was in effect at time of purchase.
